Meritage Farm competes in both the Saddlebred Show Division and Gaited Mountain Horse Show Division. We compete in class “A” World and National Championship shows as well as Academy and non-rated smaller shows in a multi-state area.
Show Expenses
- Day Rates: The day rate is $50 per day. This charge helps cover the care that the horse receives while at a show, and additional caretaker expenses.
- Prorated Show Expenses: The trainer’s show expenses and the other staff show expenses, box seats/tables, decorations, bedding and tack stalls will be prorated among the horses attending the show and will be billed accordingly.
- Per Horse Show Fees: The customer is required to pay all entry fees, exhibitor passes, office fees and stall charges for each horse. These expenses will be billed on monthly statements.
- Equipment: Customers are to provide all equipment needed to show their horse, such as show bridle, saddle, harness or cart/buggy. If the customer does not have the needed equipment, we can provide for a small usage fee.
- Horse Transportation: $.60 per loaded mile or actual cost of outside carrier. Owners showing more than one horse get a discounted rate of $.45 per loaded mile.
