Gaited Mountain Horse Show Divisions
- Country Trail Pleasure: This horse should give the appearance, and have the manners, of a horse suitable for a rider of any ability to take out for a safe and pleasurable ride through the country. There is a minimal lift of the front hooves and a low head set. They are shown at 2 gaits, the Trail Walk, and the Show Gait.
- Trail Pleasure: These horses should demonstrate a way of going suitable for an obedient trail mount yet with style. They have a slightly higher head set, still with minimal front hoof lift; definitely below level. They are shown at 3 gaits: Trail Walk, Show Gait, and Pleasure Gait.
- Classic Pleasure: This horse is shown at the Trail Walk, Show Gait and Pleasure Gait, demonstrating a much higher headset, a collected frame and more speed. The lift of the hooves should be level or close and the gaits should show quality and style.
- Park Pleasure: The most front end action, collection and speed are demonstrated in this division. The lift of the front hooves is level or above. These horses perform their gaits with courage, strength, and fire. The head set is high and collected. They are shown at the Trail Walk, Show Gait, and Pleasure Gait.
